The rising star maintains impressive online following
Kai Trump will have multiple prominent cheerleaders as she starts her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is related to Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, an avid golfer, possesses several courses worldwide and regularly competes against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially told me to play and have fun," she added.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in just three tournaments in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in AJGA standings.
However she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with her mother.
"He represents the top athlete in the world," the young golfer said.
"And he's an even better human being. He advised me to compete, relax, and go with the flow."
Kai will face some of most prominent players in professional golf at the competition, such as world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence brings the sport to wider groups, specifically among the next generation.
Kai has substantial online presence and just introduced an exclusive fashion and living label.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
