The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at women.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, which features a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
