Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane touched down based on standard protocol and everyone onboard, such as Pete Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson stated in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.
This event isn't the first time that a American defense plane ferrying a senior official has encountered technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet ferrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was forced to head back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical fault.
