British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Nigeria Following Fatal Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos confirmed on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on December 29th, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his team members.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on X that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the loss of his two close friends.”
