Barça Ready for Inaugural Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou on 7 November. The club said they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht in December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
